About the
Position:
The Maintenance Manager
coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the hotel building,
grounds, and associated equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform
this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily.
- Order parts,
supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
- Paint or repair
roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts
of building structures.
- Record type and
cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Train or manage
maintenance personnel or subcontractors.
- Provide
groundskeeping services, such as landscaping or snow removal.
- Fabricate or
repair counters, benches, partitions, or other wooden structures, such as
sheds or outbuildings.
- Estimate costs to
repair machinery, equipment, or building structures.
- Position, attach,
or blow insulating materials to prevent energy losses from buildings,
pipes, or other structures or objects.
- Perform general
cleaning of buildings or properties.
- Assemble, install,
or repair wiring, electrical, heating, ventilation, HVAC, pipe systems,
plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Inspect equipment
and systems to identify problems or issues.
- Conduct preventive
maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems continue
operating properly.
- Troubleshoot and
program dormakaba door locks.
- Maintain inventory
of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure all safety
procedure books, MSDA binders, and other related safety articles onsite
are up-to-date and legible.
- Keep Xenia
property account updated daily – this tracks progress on projects, orders,
and other maintenance related task- items that need monitored daily. (Currently for Alaska properties only)
- Submit Xenia
report to GM and VP weekly. (Currently for Alaska properties only)
- Lead and/or serve
on monthly safety committee meetings.
- Attend daily
stand-up meetings and monthly staff meetings. Occasionally leading
stand-up meetings per request of GM.
- Ensure all refuse
rooms, interior and exterior trash bins are emptied daily and as
needed.

Education:
High
School or equivalent and 1 years’ experience in maintenance or related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Licenses:

Technical Skills:
To perform
this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
- General plumbing,
electrical, and HVAC repair.
- Ability to read
blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals.
- Ability to use
hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to follow
instructions.
- Strong analytical
and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write
legibly and communicate in a clear comprehensive manner.
- Basic Math.
- Customer service.

- Ability to keep
information confidential.
